With the new ‘Be Stupid’ bag from Diesel, it’s now possible to customise a canvas bag with all manner of words (some a little on the risque side) which can be put in whatever order you want and thus get a message across without even needing to open your mouth. Log on to the Diesel website to design the bag and then drop into one of their stores to have the bag created.

Levi’s today launch the new Levi’s Curve ID designs across Europe (”It’s a bit like the Eurovision Song Contest or something!” said the Levi’s flagship store manager on London’s Regent Street “The launch is happening in the UK, France, Italy - Everywhere!”). Having scanned 60,000 women, Levi’s have determined the three most common shapes with the Slight Curve (modeled by Lykke Li), Demi Curve (modeled by Pixie Geldof) and Bold Curve (modeled by Kristin Schort) offering different fits. No, we hadn’t really heard of Lykke Li or Krisin Schrot either, but they are pretty big on the conitnent with Swedish Lykke soon to release her second album and Kristin taking over clubs with her DJ persona Miss Nine (as well as being a model) but all three personalities look great in the new campaign. Pixie is pretty hilarious with her revelations of Levi’s love and music career plans which can be seen in her behind-the-scenes video which you can find here. At todays launch, everyone was in agreement that the jeans fit like they never have before. A line up of models were on hand wearing each of the shapes relevant to them and they all agreed they were the most perfect jeans to date. One fellow blogger in attendance at the launch was so delighted with the fit of the jeans she decided she would be able to wear them for the first time in three years. ADDICTED TO A LIFE OF MATERIAL

Italian fashion brand, Sisley, have launched a new initiative to customise 18 different motorcycle jackets from their line to be auctioned to raise money for The Andy Warhol Museum - where the jackets will also be exhibited. 17 different contemporary artists have been invited to amend the Sisley jacket for the “Film, Fame and Fifteen Minutes” exhibition that will open on October 30th - marking fifteen years of the museum in Pittsburg. Ahead of the auction and exhibition, the customised jackets will be unveiled at Palazzo Bovara as part of Milan Fashion Week on September 22nd.

Normally behind the camera for shooting Katy-Perry-Teenage-Dream style shoots with incredibly good looking people, Bruce Weber has been lending his talents to furniture company Dedon for their latest campaign. Weber’s father worked in the furniture business so Weber has a long appreciation for furniture and realises that “when you move from place to place in your life, it’s the furniture that goes with you” - if only the same could be said about his models (they’d always be welcome to come round for a cup of tea). There is also a book titled Coming Home, available now, which contains the images from the campaign.

FLOATING ON FENDI

The 2010 Venice Biennale of Architecture began over the weekend in the World’s most famous water logged city. As part of the festival, Fendi have teamed with New York architects Aranda\Lasch in a project which began on August 29th in Venice and will be completed at the 2010 Design Miami in December. The project titled Modern Primitives is made of foam structures which visitors are encouraged to touch and sit on and is set to develop further for the end of year show in Miami. Both striking and interactive, this latest association with art work is only the latest in Fendi’s collaborative projects - look out for another at the London Design Festival later this year where Fendi team with Fumi Gallery.

Darren Romanelli (aka Dr. Romanelli) has been the Bird to the Converse Bee in the newly conceived Dr. Romanelli for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star - the newest edition to the Chuck Taylor All Star shoes family. Romanelli regularly combines vintage Americana elements within his art projects and has draped the Chuck Taylor outline in a classic American flag - like something Lady GaGa may have worn in the restaurant-murder-dance-routine scene in the Telephone video. The shoes retail at £100, come in sizes 6-12 and are available from shoe stores and Selfridges.

Guerlain, Paris, is one of the oldest perfumers in the world. In 1925, the fragrance Shalimar was created, encouraging women to celebrate their sexuality (long before the sexual revolution of the 60’s), encourage their sense of exploration and successfully assimilated vanilla into the fragrance world. Now the Parisian fragrance house has enlisted Jade Jagger to design a new bottle for the fragrance to continue these celebrations for a new generation of adventurous women. Bold and contemporary, the new bottle plays homage to the original bottle and also returns the signet of Guerlain to the bottle; tied to the bottle around the neck with a delicate ribbon. Jagger herself will be appearing in Harrods on September 8th for the launch of the new bottle.
