Billie Eilish’s stories have gone green again, and that can only mean one thing — a new album release date, of course, don’t be delulu. Her third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, is a 10-track project coming out on the 17th of May, three years after the release of her critically acclaimed 2021 album Happier Than Ever. The confirmation comes after weeks of online hysteria followed by Billie’s tease of new lyrics on stories (and close friends), posts, and billboards around the world.
On the album’s artwork, we see Billie drowning in water, barefoot and sinking from a white door. On Instagram, she commented that the album is a full body of work, and that herself and Finneas, her brother and partner in crime for everything music, want to deliver the project in one go, and not in a series of singles. “Not doing singles; I wanna give it to you all at once :PPP Finneas and I truly could not be more proud of this album and we absolutely can’t wait for you to hear it. Love you, love you, love you,” she says. We couldn’t be more excited!
