Picture this: You call up your friends, throw on some Uggs with your low-rise jeans, and sit down to watch the brand new Legally Blonde. No, it’s not 2001 — it’s 2024.

That’s right, we’re going back to law school. Reese Witherspoon is officially working on a TV series spinoff to Legally Blonde with her production company, Hello Sunshine. Inspired by the franchise — which, along with the original production includes 2003’s Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde and 2009’s Legally Blondes — the forthcoming project is currently in development at Amazon MGM Studios, though the premise is still under lock and key. Will Witherspoon return as Elle Woods? Will Jennifer Coolidge make a guest appearance? Or will it be an all-new generation of perms, blondes, and Gemini vegetarians?

Written by Gossip Girl developers and executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, one thing’s for sure: it’s going to be drama-filled, fashion forward, and so much better than those four amazing hours in the hot tub after winter formal.
