YARIN GLAM – “OWN WORST ENEMY”

The Los Angeles-based pop/R&B artist narrates her own experience of self-sabotage and low self-esteem on vulnerable, introspective new track.

Born and raised in Israel, Yarin Glam’s Middle Eastern background has shone through into her discography, imbuing her authentic self into each of her projects. Touching on topics of female empowerment, mental health and self-love, Yarin’s tracks offer listeners an intimate glimpse into her inner world, fostering a strong emotional connection.

With her latest new single, “Own Worst Enemy”, Yarin explores her inner struggles, urging listeners to practice self-compassion and embrace self-acceptance. Set against a swirling backdrop layered with celestial synths, oscillating basslines and a swirling melody, Yarin’s velvety vocals take centre stage. Throughout the track, Yarin’s atmospheric vocals and transcendent lyricism tell a vulnerable story that will be sure to echo with her fanbase, cementing the rising star as one-to-watch for the remainder of 2024.

Speaking about the inception of the track, the singer shares “I’ve lived my whole life being my own worst enemy and I’ve decided to write about that. It’s a dark place, but there’s hope. You can get out of it.” Speaking on her songwriting, Yarin confides, “I’d say I write a lot about mental health, my struggles with it, the struggles of being a woman in this toxic society we have. I write about those subjects because I want others to know that they’re not alone in this.”
