Growing up in a North London suburb, Chel, a talented R&B multi-hyphenate, has refined her skills in R&B and pop music since she began performing at open mic nights in 2017. Over the years, Chel has steadily released singles, her debut EP “Reclaiming My Love”, and collaborated with artists like C Cane and Joey K. She’s also demonstrated her video production talent with works like “Next Level” and “Pesa (Give It All)”.

Now, building on the success of her single “Sweet Spot” from last year, Chel has now released a soulful new track titled “Still Working”, accompanied by visuals. Set against a backdrop of warm piano keys, lively drums, and gentle bass, Chel’s vocals exude sultriness and charm, layered with angelic harmonies and romantic vibes. As Chel’s vocals captivate, a stripped-down and serene feature from up-and-coming Mancunian artist seamlessly intertwines, delivering an alluring and contemporary R&B cut.

Speaking on the narrative and themes of the track, Chel shares, “I’ve never had to apologise to a man before about any serious wrong doings. I got sent this beat, and immediately thought about writing from that perspective. When a woman gets it wrong, when a woman loses a good man. Good thing it’s in a song, because I’d never say these things in real life!”
