Fearlessly unique in his approach, Reading’s rising rapper Songer stands strong in his own lane. This year’s record SKALA was an impressive drop; confident, charismatic and well-crafted, the album cemented the emerging MC’s position in the upper echelons of the UK rap scene, with another big year poised for 2024.

To tie fans over till then, Songer offers up a festive treat. A full circle moment, the artist has released a track that first appeared two years ago on his iconic BL@CKBOX freestyle. Sampling Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” Songer murders the beat, playful in his writing and razor sharp in his flows.

There’s something undeniable about Songer, next year might well be his. Watch this space.
