A tribute from legend to legend, a collab sent from heaven and a rousing sonic swansong: Wonderlist has arrived, and it’s one for the history books!

Skepta – “Can’t Play Myself (A Tribute To Amy)”

Skepta needs no introduction, yet he continues to reintroduce himself. The Mercury Prize-winning rapper, producer and artist has been one of the most significant pop culture figures in the UK industry over the past decade, and this influence continues to spread across disciplines with his recent foray into production and DJing. “Can’t Play Myself”, Skepta’s latest release under Más Tiempo, is a touching and musically nuanced tribute to UK legend Amy Winehouse, and sees Skepta flaunt his style of production, putting a unique and immersive spin on a Winehouse classic.

Ice Spice ft. Rema – “Pretty Girl”

The breakout artist of the year without a doubt, Ice Spice is nothing short of a cultural phenomenon. She’s back with a track that showcases her versatility, linking up with Rema for an gently groovy Afro-tinged anthem, “Pretty Girl”, which boasts immersive sonic palettes, charismatic individual performances, and superb chemistry between the duo we didn’t know we needed.

You’ve probably seen the news come out in the last couple of weeks regarding easyJet and their demands to Leicester band easy life. Now confirming that they will have to change their name, the band have today released a swan-song track under their original alias. “trust exercise” is an amalgamation of everything that is good about the band; intimate lyricism, zany production and intricate instrumentation, it’s a brilliant track from a brilliant band, who will surely overcome this adversity and come back stronger!

PinkPantheress – “Capable of love”

PinkPantheress is here to claim Autumn, announcing her debut album, heaven knows, and sharing its second teaser single, “Capable of love”. Accompanied by a visually sumptuous B&W visual, the new track highlights the progression of the superstar’s unique style, with delicate vocals and groove-laden, cinematic soundscapes.

Mura Masa – “Rise/Gimme”

One of the standout producers of his generation, Grammy Award-winning beatsmith Mura Masa is back with his latest irresistible release. Blessing us with a double sided single, “Rise/Gimme”, the producer showcases the breadth of his musical knowledge, as well as his soaring sonic intuition. “Rise” is a sample-driven house number that is impossible not to bop to, whilst “Gimme” is a moody club banger that which will play perfectly tonight at his fabric show in celebration of the esteemed clubs 24th birthday.

Lord Apex ft. Freddie Gibbs – “Phoenix”

Gearing up towards his highly-anticipated studio album The Good Fight, Lord Apex unleashes his latest offering “Phoenix” featuring none other than US rap legend Freddie Gibbs. Pointing towards a new chapter for the rapid-rising London talent, the new single serves up an upbeat, yet mellow, soundtrack produced by Argov providing a soulful platform for AP to deliver his trademark flow alongside one of America’s most coveted rappers right now in Freddie Gibbs. With a steamy edginess, “Phoenix” showcases a fresh kind of sound and vibe that’s set to guide the new soundscape of AP’s forthcoming body of work as he drops baggage from the past and continues his rise into the very upper echelons of the rap game.

Tems – “Me & U”

Lagos’ leading light Tems is back with her first solo music since her terrific ’21 EP, “If Orange Was A Place”, and the new offering doesn’t disappoint! “Me & U is atmospheric and refined, deftly produced and dazzlingly performed by the Grammy Award-winning songstress, who also directed the cut’s vibrant visual accompaniment.

Erick the Architect ft. Channel Tres – “Ambrosia”

Showing no signs of slowing down, the braggadocious new heater “Ambrosia” speaks to the power of cultural impact, and Erick The Architect’s ever-evolving growth as an artist and cult star. With an assist from California’s very own Channel Tres, the pair deliver their seamless flow and low cadence across the choppy Linden Jay production, laden with smart percussive elements and underlying bass riffs, continuing to shape an alternative hip-hop sound Erick’s become known for. Vibey, yet moody, Erick and Channel Tres work in perfect tandem to deliver an addictive new single that continues to guide the soundscape of what’s to come for Erick over the next few months.

Continuing their electric run of form with three incendiary singles enlisting Jords, Nix Northwest, Elisa Imperilee, Karl Benjamin and more, The Silhouettes Project deliver hazy vibrations across their latest cut “No Fumar”. Gliding atop Kunfused’s immaculate production, Danny Sanchez seamlessly integrates his sleek flows and deep-rooted wordplay, with wailing strings and sharp percussive textures elevating the soundwaves into pure UK rap bliss. The Paraguayan heritage artist flexes his smooth Spanish licks in typical style before C.REM joins the fold with potent bars shining with authenticity. The Streets – The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light

One of the UK’s most legendary names is back with his full length project in over a decade! Mike Skinner – aka The Streets – is the master of reflective blokeness, and on this new record, The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light, shows a growth in maturity, both in terms of his production and his hilarious and insightful lyrical content. With a tour to come and feature film released alongside the LP, this is a grand comeback from Mike for sure.

Ari Abdul – “CCTV”

Brooklyn-based artist Ari Abdul announced herself to the scene with her highly impactful debut single, “BABYDOLL”, and has now augmented her acclaim with an EP featuring the single, “CCTV”. Stylistically diverse, with the influence of pop, grunge and electronica clear across the six tracks, Abdul is a modern day pop-rock crossover who is bound to only refine her sound from here.

KiLLOWEN – “One Thing”

Rising alternative rapper KiLLOWEN has that inherent British appeal oozing from every crevice of his music. Having built a cult fan base of the past few years, the artist’s sound has progressed into something playful, off-kilter but commercially viable. “One Thing” is about the late nights and drunken musings, a snapshot of British youth culture that is relatable, entertaining and slyly poignant.

NSJ Mali – “Puzzles”

NSJ Mali feels like London’s next breakout star in the making. Sincerely, Benson, is a personal and sonically eclectic body of work, full of class, craft and charisma, and boasts a highly impressive collection of features, from drill royalty Headie One to global star Popcaan.

M1onTheBeat ft. SL & Nemzzz – “Like Dat”

One of the biggest production export to come out of the UK in recent memory, M1onTheBeat has played a huge role in shaping the drill sound over the past few years. With his debut solo album on route, M1 shares a single set to feature on the LP, “Like Dat”. Enlisting the charm of Manchester rapper Nemzzz and masked spitter SL, it’s a playful, vibrant offering that rises excitement for the producer’s debut full length. Lavaud ft. Tiwa Savage x Patoranking x Reekado Banks x Kanis – “Roll On Me”

London-based singer-songwriter Lavaud brings together an all star cast for her latest sonic movie! She links up with Nigerian frontrunners Tiwa Savage, Patoranking and Reekado Banks, as well as Haitian star Kanis for a silky smooth single that leans into the sounds and rhythmic intonations of afro-beats and dancehall for a dance-floor ready anthem that will make you miss summer even more than you already do.

Zikai – “don’t look at the moon…”

Swedish alt pop songstress Zikai has unveiled her sublime EP, “don’t look at the moon…”, a dazzling assortment of R&B, pop and soul that flaunts her gorgeous vocal prowess and explores past relationships within themes of self confidence and vulnerability.

COBRAH – “SUCCUBUS”

Avant-garde multi-faceted talent COBRAH has, another much anticipated, shard her label debut EP, “SUCCUBUS” via Big Beat Records. Challenging, immersive and experimental, the seven-pronged body of work is a sonic statement like none other, unique in its tone, timbre and themes.

Naomi Sharon – “Regardless”

Dutch-Caribbean singer-songwriter Naomi Sharon is preparing to fully introduced herself with her debut album, Obsidian, out next Friday 20th October via OVO Sound. Whilst we wait as patiently as we can, she has treats us to another teaser from the record in the shape of “Regardless”, a colourful tune driven forward by a Spanish-inspired guitar riff and Sharon’s stunning vocals.

B-ahwe ft. Sunny Reyne – “PercentAge”

Rising soulstress B-ahwe continues to impress with her latest single, “PercentAge”. The new dazzling offering plucked from her forthcoming project, “26% Mixtape”, features a superb turn from Sunny Reyne, with B-ahwe bringing her unmatchable vocality to a rich instrumental palette, discussing the idea that age is a percentage, not a number.

Kenya Grace – “Only In My Mind”

South Africa-born, Southampton-based singer, songwriter and producer Kenya Grace demanded the attention of pop stans with huge global hit, “Strangers”, and has now returned to enhance her industry acclaim with its silky follow up, “Only In My Mind”. Busy Twist & Kombilesa MÍ – “LDN PLNQ”

Underground dance sensation Busy Twist is an expert at blending sound and culture, and has now returned with a genre-bending bangs, “LDN PLNQ”. Enlisting Palenquero hip-hop stars Kombilesa Mí, the multi-disciplinarian takes from UK house and kwaito for a track that takes its name from San Basilio de Palenque, a northern Colombian village with a distinct Afro-Colombian culture and music, which was founded by the first free slaves of the Americas in the 17th century.
