Drake — For All Of The Dogs

Drake’s new album, For All Of The Dogs, is finally between us and it’s not too early to forecast a massive hit. With a 90-minute, 23 (!!) hits long track list, the rapper’s eighth studio album was first teased in January and now arrives to his faithful fanbase with a long list of guest features — from 21 Savage and Sza to Lil Yachty and PARTYNEXTDOOR. Adding an even closer-to-home feeling to the piece, the album’s imagery — not coincidentally, a GOAT — is a drawing from his son Adonis. To binge-listen this weekend!

Omar Apollo — “Live For Me”

Omar Apollo released his new EP today, and it is seriously a treat. Featuring the hit single “Ice Slippin”, a meaningful track that sees the artist reliving the thoughts that were going through his mind the winter he came out to his family. In his own words, it “is a reflection and reaction of all the emotions [he] had to face before and after [he] decided to leave the icy streets of Indiana.” The full EP is a masterful portrayal of longing and love, with vocals and lyrics that pierce through the heart.

Tohji — “Aglio e olio”

Boundary-breaking Japanese rapper Tohji is back with an exciting ode to summer nostalgia. Titled “Aglio e Olio”, it is a freeing and playful offering that transcends genre — combining Japanese hip-hop with Eurobeat, trance, and dance-pop for something truly special.

Murkage Dave — “Violence In Me (ft. Jaykae)” / “Never Sing Olly Olly Olly Again”

East Londoner Murkage Dave returns with a double single, “Violence In Me” ft Jaykae and “Never Sing Olly Olly Olly Again”. The first track uses religious soundscapes, such as a church organ, to highlight the artist’s complicated relationship with religion — as well as with himself. The second track is a celebration of self-confidence, looking at the past to see how far he has come. With a new album out next month, we can’t wait for more.

Aby Coulibaly — At The End Of The Day It’s Night

Any Coulibalby’s beautiful blend of soul and R&B is at its best with her new album, At The End Of The Day It’s Night. An exploration of human emotions, it pushes boundaries both sonically and lyrically for a thought-provoking and enchanting immersive experience. We’re completely wrapped up in her stunning vocals and captivating world.

Say Now — “S.I.N.G.L.E”

Amelia, Maddie, and Yssy — the trio behind the new band Say Now — embody the best of the 90s, 00s, and today. Following their debut EP, “needanamebro”, they are back with “S.I.N.G.L.E”, an infectious breakup anthem that embodies a stress-free and empowering era. Freeing, hopeful, and positive, it’s all about leaving negativity in the past. Yes please!

Unflirt — “Someday”

West London’s Unflirt has a new single, the first release off of her upcoming EP. Titled “Someday”, the track is another bedroom pop masterpiece, full of relatable lyrics and raw, emotional vocals. Discussing the struggles of a long distance relationship, it is a bittersweet portrayal of love and pain — a dynamic rarely encapsulated as well as she has done here.

Tommy Genesis x The Martinez Brothers — “PFW”

After the success of their previous collaboration, “a woman is a god”, The Martinez Brothers and self-proclaimed “fetish rapper” Tommy Genesis have blessed our ears once again. Their new track, titled “PFW (Paris Fashion Week)”, is a hypnotic and alluring offering that will get you up on your feet in seconds. Between the beat-driven sonics and clever lyricism, this track is one that will have you pressing repeat.

Louis La Roche — “The Broken One (feat. Ashley Alisa)”

Norwich-based Nu Disco/Pop producer, remixer and DJ Louis La Roche announced his fifth studio album, Admittedly, with the lead single “The Broken One” featuring vocalist Ashley Alisa. Using only vintage sounds — think synthesisers and techniques from the 1980s — Louis set out to create a Modern Pop album that brings together a nostalgic, soundscape journey, fused with contemporary songwriting. “There’s been a trend in recent years in Pop music, where producers will take 2023 synths, and sounds and try to make a record that sounds very nostalgic and 80s, but I haven’t heard many examples of people trying to write in the opposite sense,” he shares.

Maeve — “HYPERBLOOM”

Cayman-born, London-based singer-songwriter Maeve unveiled her self-directed video for “HYPERBLOOM”, a single off of her sophomore 7-track EP of the same name. Intertwining cinematic and nostalgic elements to her alt-dream-pop music, Maeve’s sonic narrative looks at a world where love blossoms amidst the ruins of a crumbling reality. On the focus track, she looks at the whole coming-of-age feeling of the EP and what it feels like to be a young woman in love in this overwhelming and anxious world. “It’s just this feeling I had at a time where I was exhausted in a postmodern world”, she says.

Oscar #Worldpeace — “Never Know”

After a 3 years hiatus working behind the scenes as a producer, Oscar #Worldpeace is making his comeback as a solo artist with the single “Never Know”. Painting vivid scenes with infectious beats, the song is a striking return for the Tottenham-born rapper and producer, following a busy period of collaborations with big names in the industry.

Kevin Abstract — “Blanket”

Kevin Abstract if officially flying solo! With the release of his new single, “Blanket”, accompanied by a music video, he’s setting the tone for this next phase of his musical career, where he seems to be breaking new music grounds.
