We are riding into the sunset with this week’s Wonderlist, with Charli XCX, Sainté, Giggs and Madison Beer and many more starring!

Charli XCX – “Speed Drive”

The Barbie bus hasn’t reached it’s destination just yet, and we are most definitely still aboard! One of the best outings on the accompanied soundtrack, Charli XCX’s “Speed Drive” has just been augmented by a throughly entertaining video. The track itself is brimming with joyfully angsty energy, with Charli parading the glitchy instrumental, whilst the new visuals see Charli fully in the Barbie spirit with a fuchsia convertible to keep her company.

Sainté ft. Cash Cobain – “Air4”

Leicester’s esteemed spitter Sainté continues to flaunt his versatility and charisma on “Air4”. Having cemented his seat at UK rap’s table with three impressive EPs, the global nature of the rapper’s sound is becoming more and more evident. Borrowing the production nuance of New York’s Cash Cobain, Sainté flexes his lyrical acumen and sleek performance atop the washy, immersive instrumental, showcasing his comfortability atop a versatility of rap beats.

Madison Beer — “Spinnin”

Plucked from her upcoming sophomore album, Silence Between Songs, Madison Beer’s new single “Spinnin” is out now! A hypnotic soundscape with introspective and emotional depth, the track is a vulnerable exploration of anxiety, stand-still days, and cyclical thoughts. Released alongside an ethereal, mystical, and uncanny video where the world seems to be put on pause, the song is a dream. The full project will be released on September 15, and we can’t wait.

Giggs – “Fire in the Booth”

Returning for a fifth time to Charlie Sloth’s freestyle series, “Fire in the Booth”, Peckham icon Giggs celebrates the release of yet another superb album, Zero Tolerance, with bars that are visceral, playful, impactful and entertaining. Long live the landlord!

DAISY WORLD – “ur soggy”

DAISY WORLD, the superfluous solo project of Steve Lacy and Tyler, The Creator collaborator Daisy Hamel-Buffa, is some of the sunniest indie-R&B crossover vibrations you’ll hear this summer. On her new single, “ur soggy”, atmospheric undertones give texture to dazzling vocals and ethereal synths, with Hamel-Buffa showing her potential as a solo artist and her potency as a writer and musician.

SOFY – “supermarket”

Quickly becoming one of the most exciting names in UK indie pop, SOFY is simply not missing at the moment. Signed to iconic label Chess Club Records, the singer-songwriter offers a new cut, “supermarket”, an offering that feels inherently British and dazzlingly daring. A break up single ready for break up szn!

ITUA – “Transition”

A marvel of fluidity, the genre-bending talent of ITUA has come to a head on his provoking and meticulous EP, “Transition”. Featuring standout cuts like atmospheric closer “Downhill” and breezy leading single “What’s Wrong?”, the six-pronged project is as disparate as it is explorative, with the drummer and vocalist boasting a lyrical vitality and progressive musicality.

Black Sherif – “Take Care Of Yourself Blacko”

A global star waiting in the wings, Ghanian creative Black Sherif is a potent artist pushing sonic boundaries with characterful cuts. The talent has released a double sided single, “Take Care Of Yourself Blacko”; consisting of the anthemic, heavy hitting and cinematic “YAYA” and the immersive, poignant and visceral “SIMMER DOWN”, it’s a superb offering that shines a light on the excellent output of Sherif.

COBRAH – “MANIC”

Visually and sonically progressive and striking, swiftly rising multi-faceted artist COBRAH is pushing boundaries with effortless ease. Accompanied by an eerie and slightly terrifying visual, her new single “MANIC” revolves around an ear worm hook, with broody synths and booming production a perfect backdrop for COBRAH’s enticing tone and sharp lyricism.

Hannah Diamond – “Perfect Picture”

Hyper pop multi-disciplinarian Hannah Diamond has announced her long-awaited sophomore album, Perfect Picture, and blessed us with the LPs title track. Rooted in experimentation and innovation, the new single is a dazzling example of Diamond’s undeniable craft and unique approach, with her conversational tone and consuming soundscape an exciting teaser of the project, set to be unveiled in October via PC Music.

Danny Ray – “Lie”

Compelling in his sound, emerging artist Danny Ray looks set to make a splash on the alt sphere. His newest single, “Lie” is a vast stylistic turn from previous groove-laden single “Strawberry Kisses”, illustrating the depths of his artistic vision. Forward thinking, moody and mischievous, “Lie” is a statement offering; what’s next?!

Manga Saint Hilarie x MoreNight ft. Frisco – “Kill Sound”

Grime-royalty comes together for ‘Kill Sound’ which see’s Manga Saint Hilare team up with Frisco for a banger that has had Grime enthusiasts gushing. Fresh off the heels of his collaborative EP ‘Save Yourself’ with Blay Vision, Manga wastes no time in delivering ‘Kill Sound’ – a high-octane anthem that showcases the effortless synergy between him and Boy Better Know linchpin, Frisco. The track’s Hugh energy is driven by an uptempo MoreNight production, propelling listeners into a head-nodding frenzy from start to finish. Manga and Frisco’s magnetic chemistry is on full display as they effortlessly trade verses, leaving no doubt that they’re here to remind everyone how it’s done. Lord Apex ft. Bones – “Smokers Lounge”

Rap trailblazer Lord Apex returns with a brand new visual for his recent smoked-out single “Smokers Lounge” featuring TeamSESH founder Bones. The track sees AP speaking to the power of cultural impact and his own rise as an artist, a notable feature from emo-rap star Bones delivering a weighty trans-Atlantic collab. With AP delivering an assured topline on the Angus Luke produced instrumental of kicks and languid keys, Bones’ rapid flow adds an unorthodox edge to the gilded, hashed-out buzz. The innovative new video is directed by Vanja Vikalo and designed by Linnch, showcasing AP and Bones in a sleek animated production.

Uche – “Okada”

LA-based, Nigerian heritage artist and creative Uche instantly redefines himself as a standout prospect. Floating across infectious percussion and melancholic guitars licks, his latest cut “Okada” emerges as a sleek amalgamation of nostalgic afro-swing, laced with Uche’s deep-rooted wordplay touching on poetic justice when exploring a new love interest that blurs the lines between love and lust. Utilising a natural reflex for vocals discovered while singing in church choirs across Nigeria, the multi-hyphenate has shifted his vision to a more authentic, true-to-self sound this year, and will no doubt continue the hype surrounding one of the brightest young creatives across the underground landscape.

Blanco – “ReBourne”

Kennington’s very own Blanco unleashes his monumental new mixtape ‘ReBourne’. Already teased through a series of scintillating singles such as the high calibre, 2-step “Carpe Diem” and nostalgic hitter “Londis”, the tape consists of twelve top-tier rap tracks, boasting features from Kojey Radical, Avelino and AratheJay, as well as boundary-pushing soundtracks produced by the likes of Litek, Jens Muller, Alexaybeats, ATG and KXLLAK. Blanco showcases his trademark lyrical deftness and smart wordplay throughout, fusing a range of genres and influences highlighting the youngstar’s versatility and unique ability in serving up some of the freshest and most innovative rap music coming out of these shores right now.

Adzmilli – “LO(V/S)ER“

Following on from his explosive single “Toxic” alongside fellow hotshot Mugzz, and more recent release “Trust In You”, south West London’s breakthrough star Adzmilli returns with his highly anticipated, thirteen-track mixtape, LO(V/S)ER — representing both sides of Adzmilli’s love-life personas. The tape serves up a genre-bending listening experience packed full of fresh beats layered with Adzmilli’s trademark smooth lyricism. From the catchy instrumentals in “Battle Scars” to the nostalgic feels of “Trust Issues”, Adzmilli’s innate ability in crafting thought-provoking and addictive music is clear throughout the project. Add to this a slew of features from the UK’s hottest rising talent, including Nemzzz, Mugzz, A1 x J1 and Kidwild, and it is safe to say Adzmilli is one of the most sought-after emerging rappers emanating from these shores.

kenzie — “Anatomy”

kenzie’s deeply emotional “Anatomy” is an intimate, empowering portrayal of the effects of growing up with an absent parent. Lyrics tell a push-and-pull story and the complex dichotomy of craving love from someone yet wishing you could shake free of them. Her soft yet strong vocals take centre stage on the track, demanding to be heard. “I’m just proud of what we made because I think a lot of people can relate,” kenzie says about the song. “If you grew up without a parent, I hope you know that you are not alone, and I hope this record can provide some type of peace and safe space for you all.” Singing with such powerful vulnerability, she creates a safe community for her listeners, not only for those who can relate directly to the themes of the track but to anyone who has ever struggled with trust, accepting love, and letting go. We can’t wait for more from the rising singer-songwriter.

Ren — “Love Music Part 4”

Hot on the heels of announcing his upcoming record, Sick Boi, Ren has an exciting new single. Titled “Love Music Part 4”, the track is another insight into what we can expect from the album, and we’re quite excited. An infectious and experimental release, it is as futuristic as it is nostalgic, combining Hip-Hop influences with narration from the artist and deeply personal lyrics. The whole project will be out on October 13 and will cover themes such as chronic health, greed, grief, and mental illness.

Perdurabo — “Cast Stones”

Electronic artist Perdurabo’s third single is a powerful, chilling, and profound conversation surrounding inner-city living conditions. Titled “Cast Stones”, it comes ahead of the artist’s forthcoming debut album, Magnetar and gives us a glimpse into what the project will sound like. With vocals from Miro Shot’s frontman, Roman Rappak, it is a commentary that demands justice for the victims of haunting housing tragedies and a call to action for change. As important as it is an incredible song, make sure you take a listen to this one.

James McVey — “Dancing On The Head Of A Needle”

The Vamps’ guitarist and songwriter, James McVey, has released his debut solo single — “Dancing On The Head Of A Needle”. An introspective folk-pop track, it was written following McVey’s vocal surgery and discusses the impact that losing his voice had on his mental health. Featuring a soft acoustic guitar, hushed vocals, and vulnerable lyrics that reflect on self-deterioration, it is a powerful introduction to his solo sound — and is hopefully the first of many solo releases to come.

Major League DJZ -“All Night Long”

Major League DJZ’s latest single “All Night Long” ft. Elaine, freshly released just this week, exudes carefree joy, catapulting their talents into new realms whilst showcasing Elaine’s elite vocals. The duo’s UK fan base grows, headlining events and launching upcoming tracks, while their Amapiano genre influence expands globally, hinting at a year-end EP.

Mya K – “Call Me”

Mya K returns with a fresh blend of R&B and Amapiano in “Call Me”. Produced by VELLI, her velvety vocals dance over electric beats, crafting an irresistible summer anthem. Embracing independence, Mya K’s musical exploration continues while staying true to her stellar R&B roots.

Berhana – “Like A Habit”

Berhana, the LA-based Ethiopian descendant, drops “Like A Habit”, his second single in a narrative journey delving into his diaspora experience. Infused with vibrant R&B and house influences, the club-centric groove showcases Berhana’s impressive vocals. The track precedes his upcoming album “Amén የዘላን ህልም (The Nomad’s Dream)”, promising a blend of sonic elevation and cultural exploration.

Sam Cisco – “Under The Light”

Australian indie powerhouse San Cisco drops “Under The Light”, an irresistibly infectious summer dance anthem. Co-written with Jay Watson, the track balances euphoria and melancholy, delving into the complexities of growing up. Accompanied by an aquatic-themed video shot at an abandoned theme park, the song anticipates the trio’s upcoming mature and electric fifth album.
