LAURA PULICE

Introducing the Queen of Latex — the founder of VEX LATEX who has brought the material into the forefront of the fashion industry with her innovative, empowering designs.

FIT alum Laura Pulice, owner and creative director of VEX LATEX, founded her brand in 2000 as a means to push the boundaries of latex’s use. First discovering the fabric in the late 90’s, she began experimenting with its properties and quickly gained an in-depth knowledge and expertise in the subject. In 2013, she finished as runner up on the television show Styled to Rock, hosted by none other than Rihanna. From the publicity that the show provided, Pulice skyrocketed into a world of fashion collaborations while exponentially growing her own label into a renowned, in demand brand with widespread respect on its own. Working with the likes of Christian Cowan, Brandon Maxwell, Luis De Javier, and Prabal Gurung and creating custom pieces for Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Madonna, the Jenners, the Hadids, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, Margot Robbie, and Anne Hathaway.

A master of craftsmanship, fabric manipulation, and creative design, she has expanded the realm of latex from its traditional perception as provocative “fetish” attire to a widespread use across fashion garments. Seeing the material as a means to stand out, make a statement, and express one’s sexuality, she has provided loyal customers all over the world with garments bound to enhance their confidence and make them feel comfortable in their own skin. Committed to dressing all ages, gender identities, ethnicities, and body types, Pulice has created a movement and paved the way for future innovations in latex and the fashion industry as a whole.

Most recently, Pulice has collaborated with Thom Browne for his Paris Couture 2023 collection, creating all of the latex pieces for the show. Take a look here…
