Hey! How are you?

Heeeeey. Beautiful thank you!

When did you start creating music?

I actually remember my first fully formed song so well, because it was incredibly awful, something about a fire inside me and feeling trapped. I think I must’ve been 8 or 9 years old but i was definitely writing nonsensical poems even before then i’m my note books and on walls.

Who or what were your early musical influences?

My parents played me a lot of Queen, Blondie, Abba, Bee Gees while I was growing up. Debbie Harry was my first obsession as she was so powerful and I fell in love with her and the bands music. Even now these artists are still influencing my music.

Do you have a typical songwriting process?

When I wake up in the morning I write down a brain dump of thoughts, keeping it as natural as possible, not thinking with any intention. then later in the day after i’ve got some instrumental ideas and melodies, i go back to the words i wrote and find my song. It’s so important to me to keep it as real as possible and not manufacture my creativity. the best songs come naturally.

Congratulations on “Paradise”! We love it. When did you write this track?

Thank you so much! I wrote it in Brighton on the 26th August 2022.

What inspired it and how did you work to bring your vision to life?

One of my close writing partners introduced me to some of her favourite writers and we met in their studio by the beach. It was such a beautiful day and Paradise was the title that was on our mind, so we created Paradise. We started with a really cool bass and synth melody and the song came naturally. Once we had the Demo, I knew straight away Purple Disco Machine would transform the demo into a huge sound and of course he did!!

You have worked with Purple Disco Machine before — what is it about your collaborative relationship that works so well?

We really understand each others music, no matter who starts the ideas, the other always knows where to take it and what it needs. It’s so easy with him and really no words are needed, it’s just instinctive between us.

What excites you about the current state of the music industry?

Not the industry but the new music, the evolution of artists reclaiming their art, their message, their bodies. Also the way disco music is influencing so much modern dance, pop and electronic music is really exciting for me and i’m so happy to be apart of it.

What are you most looking forward to right now?
Making music always!!

Do you have a career highlight thus far?

Performing on Eurovision is something I will never forget! But also this year, the place i’m in now, releasing paradise, making the video and the festivals this year performing with PDM again, have all been a complete dream. i’m literally living my Paradise.
