Gabrielle Revere captures Dylan Snyder in a series of brooding images, re-introducing the accomplished model as the rising musician he is.
Growing up surrounded by music, Dylan spent childhood car rides listening to 90s and early 2000’s R&B with his mother and school days enticed by English class writing assignments. Bringing these early influences into his present day sound, along with more recent inspirations in the likes of Mac Miller, Frank Ocean, River Tiber, and King Krule, he has developed his own soundscape — one he defines as part of a “melodic rap/R&B realm”.
With a forthcoming debut set to introduce the world to his musicality, he has big plans. “I plan on dropping a few singles off an album I’ve been working on for the past 6 months, paired with some visuals portraying me as a person and my lifestyle,” he tells us. “I want to bring cinematic experiences along with my music. It’s been a very intimate process and I’m finally getting around to sharing it.”
What inspired him to pursue a career in music? “The idea of being able to influence and bring others together through sharing my thoughts and experiences,” he explains. “I also wouldn’t be happy doing anything else. I always knew I’d end up doing music.”
Moving forward, his goal is to “create something that outlasts [him] as a person”, with the belief that “timeless art is successful art.” This will also bring him closer to another goal of his — to be able to take care of his family and the people he loves, who he explains are the reason he is who he is today.
Shooting with Gabrielle allowed him to portray himself and his artistry in a visual dimension. On the experience, he says: “Shooting with Gabrielle was seamless. We talked about music, fashion, and life in general. It’s nice to work with another creative mind and bounce ideas off of one another.”
