RAHI CHADDA × DIOR MENS SS24

Rahi Chadda takes us backstage and front row of the Dior Mens SS24 Collection during Paris Fashion Week — and here are some highlights.

Model, influencer, beauty expert and fashion week regular – Rahi Chadda needs little introduction. Between starring in campaigns, sitting front row at shows, and sharing his thoughts on social media, he tells stories through his artistry and captivates audiences globally. From his relationships with brands to his followers who seek out his expertise and knowledge, he has built an engaged community in the industry and beyond.

For the Dior Mens SS24 Collection, Rahi took us with him as he ventured backstage and to the front row. Speaking with guests about what the design house means to them and their thoughts on the collection, he not only gave us a firsthand account of the runway — but an inside peek into the incredible talent watching the show as well. The cherry on top was Rahi’s engaging conversation with Peter Phillips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup.

Read some thoughts from Rahi himself…

How has your time in Paris been?
Paris is my home next door. As always, it’s like I’ve never left! It truly is a delight to be back in Paris, great to see familiar faces and walk the streets that have given me memories to look back to.

When did your relationship with Dior begin and how has it evolved?
You could say that my relationship with Dior began in my early modelling days, I used to be prepped backstage with the colour cosmetics; and in my personal life, I always had a Dior eye cream at hand. Now I have such a close relationship with the team, which feels like I’ve gone full circle. It’s a wholesome experience!

How was your experience of attending the Dior Mens show?
Very inspiring, I love the Dior shows. There’s always a new story, a new narrative but it’s newness that feels continuous to what we have had. I guess my wardrobe feels safe in their hands.

What is the energy like behind the scenes?
Oh my… there’s a lot of buzz! Everyone is excited to get the show together, there’s a sense of importance amongst the team, but also community.

Was there a standout look that you particularly loved?
I love the jumper on the first look actually, the carnage print in neon pink with the backdrop of grey. I feel like they have balanced neon so it can be worn in a versatile fashion.

You asked talent about what Dior Mens means to them — what does it mean to you?
Dior Mens is an opportunity to be a part of this world that celebrates a lifestyle. What I mean by this is, Christian Dior wanted women to feel their best and to look like they’re at their pique of life. Dior Mens offers that and opens doors to men who seek a fresh perspective on personal styling.

You have been to a plethora of Fashion Week shows throughout your career. What is the most exciting part of attending Fashion Week?
Meeting the designers, and talking backstage about the collection. It’s great being seated and watching the show; but the real magic happens backstage.

In your opinion, how do runway shows differ from campaigns in terms of showcasing a collection?
A runway is a bit of theatre, it’s immersive and showcases the looks in real-time with a backdrop that alludes to a narrative. Whereas, a campaign really is storytelling, setting an all-encompassing tone to the collection from runway to retail.

What themes, styles, and/or messages have excited you this season?
The balance of colours, this emphasis on neutrals but the statement shines through a pop of colour. The leather accessories is what excites me the most, mint greens paired with pale pinks and beiges; whilst neon orange, pink and blue subverts amongst the hints of animal print.
