LYLE & SCOTT

The long established fashion delivers its eclectic and versatile collection.

A stalwart of British fashion since it was first established back in 1874, Lyle & Scott are as relevant as ever in the industry. Mastering modernism in their style, there is versatility and nuance in their craftwork, epitomised by their new SS23 collection. From its humble Scottish roots in Hawick, to the global phenomena that it has grown into, the latest collection signifies the growth and evolution of the brand, whilst remaining firmly fixed within their heritage and key ideals.

The new Spring/Summer collection is categorised by six sections. We are blessed with some classic vintage pieces, designed for fashionable everyday attire, which draws on the influence of forgotten coastal communities in the UK, with items such as gilets, polos and hoodies. For the womenswear section, the brand focuses on giving new vitality to iconic designs, inspired by pioneering women. The casuals section puts emphasis on the football community, embodying the passion and spirit of the scene to draw on inclusivity and reinventing the classic looks.

Celebrating its roots through the archive collection, the brand takes influence from an infamous movement in Scottish indie music history. Commonly referred to as Jangle Pop, it was a period of young artists who moved into musicianship, with the design manifesto highlighting the back catalogue. The golf collection leans into the classic look of the sport, balancing simplicity and refinement in the class-laden fits. Finally, the sportswear scion finds sleekness and adaptability in comfort, with the striking colour schemes and bold fits perfect for high performance, whilst looking impeccable.
