Born and raised in the seaside town of Brighton, EVA first emerged on the scene last year with three dazzling singles – “Daydream Danger”, “Reaching Out” and “The Snow” that rose her to acclaim and gained her hype amongst the pop and electronic fields. With a sound that is influenced by house and garage, there is a modernistic edge to the appealing style of the singer-songwriter, who has quickly sharpening her approach and dedicated herself to her craft. She will be supporting Hamaza one 27th March at Amazing Grace, London Bridge as part of Youth Music’s ‘Give a Gig Week’, and was recently listed in Glastonbury’s emerging talent competition.

EVA has recently returned with her first single of the year, “My One”. A sublime cut that sees the artist stray ever further into experimentation in the electronic and dance fields, the track forecasts further artistic development for Eva as she continues to immerse herself in wide ranging influences. With layered, hazy harmonies, brisk percussion and encompassing synth soundscapes as her accompaniment, EVA flaunts a gorgeous vocality, guiding us through a narrative of love, care and understanding.

Speaking on the single, EVA comments, “My One is a playful anthem that incorporates the Jersey Club sound. The track uses the 160 BPM tempo used in Liquid, and the prominent kick sequence that characterises the Jersey Club sound – yet ‘My One’ holds its own sonic idiosyncrasies. These include a funky bass line break alongside syncopated snares created from sampling ASMR golf swing sounds, feeding into the song’s visual theme of golf.”

With a quickly progressing sound and vitality to her lyricism and performance, we expect this to be a big year for the rising star!
