LEICA × BOND

The powerhouse camera brand holds an exhibition in London honouring 007’s photographic legacy.

The world’s most infamous secret agent, Bond, irrevocably changed the cultural landscape since his debut in the 1962 Dr. No. Its cinematographic essence lends itself to examining these films through the lens of photography; this is what Leica’s latest exhibition is all about.

Held in the Leica D-Lux 7 temporary space, EON’s photographic archive is opened – unfurling 60 years of Bond imagery. From Bert Cann’s photographs from the 1964 Goldfinger to Stephen Vaughn’s from the 2021 No Time to Die – this exhibition encompasses the wide-spanning photographic history of the franchise.

Kicking off this exhibition is the release of a limited edition Leica camera. Carrying the thread of the Bold films’ sophistication, this new Leica D-Lux 7 007 camera has high-performance written all over it. From the sturdy rhombus-textured material, and hand-grip, to the wrist strap – these features ensure the camera will be in good hands. With a top plate embellished with the instantly-recognisable 007 logo – the holster-style leather case brings this camera over the edge. Getting into the specs, the camera’s large sensor and fast lens results in top-notch image quality.

The Leica x Bond exhibition will run until March 21st.
