At long last the trailer for A Good Person has been released, starring it-girl of the moment Florence Pugh as ‘Allison’. The sophomore directing project of actor Zach Braff, the film revolves around drug abuse, and this new flick is sure to be a hard-hitter, as glimpses of the film’s poignancy are laid bare in its trailer. Starring alongside Pugh is Morgan Freeman, as ‘Daniel’, and the two cultivate a powerful friendship in an unlikely place.

As the film’s characters navigate grief, specifically the death of Daniel’s daughter, the trailer provides some insight into the different ways people cope. One of these ways oftentimes is substance abuse; A Good Person sheds light on this. Interspersed with moments of light, the film doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously – as a few eyebrow-raising moments induce some deep chuckles.

Set to release in the US in March, we’re sure that more info about the film will unfurl as we inch closer to its release date. Tender, yet playful; poignant and powerful – we’re eagerly awaiting what else to come.
