BROCKWOOD FESTIVAL

The charity-funding festival returns for a second year to unite the lonely and to celebrate freedom.

Though the pandemic may seem like a far-gone fever-dream for most, many were left with a crippling sense of loneliness. In a study recently conducted by MIND, studies showed that nine in ten young people felt their mental health struggles worsen during lockdown — a finding that shook the co-founders of Brockwood Festival to their core. Seeking to draw attention to this potent social issue, good friends Alastair Morton, Josh Gulliver, Olly Toomey, Fergus Kirkland and Jamie Varley came together and thought of the best way to create unity in a society that has forgotten how to be social, finally coming to one universal passion: Music.

Now announcing its lineup for its second year, Brockwood will see kaleidoscopic talent from the likes of Joy Anonymous, Norman Jay MBE, SOFY, O’Flynn, Dale May and Malaika. Aiming to create unity amongst friends and strangers, the festival is an inhibition-free celebration of life and freedom, whilst seeking to raise as much money as possible for those whom it cannot reach.

“The core of Brockwood Festival is to champion up and coming artists, giving them a live platform whilst raising awareness for mental health, something very close to our hearts,” says Josh Gulliver — Co-Founder of Brockwood Festival and Manager at Milk & Honey Music.

Having raised £3,000 respectively in its first show, Brockwood Festival aims to raise £5,000 in 2022 — touching even more souls with their optimistic outlook and proactive energy.
