As the current climate of the world feels more disruptive and uncertain than ever, NYC-based artist I Am Snow Angel takes to her instruments to comfort us within a “Lost World”. Beginning with a powerful reverb, the track ushers in her playful vocals which tip-toe round an ear-worming beat. Calling upon a nostalgic vibe with the use of 80s-style synths, she evokes deep emotions from her listeners through her soulful narration of the heavy lies and pain which fill a “Lost World”.

The track release comes alongside a live in-studio performance video as well as a remix by David Sisko. In the visual, we see I Am Snow Angel against a blank canvas, where she is alone with her instruments. While performing the track, her sounds move through her body as she effortlessly delivers notes in perfect time — a depiction of the escape and harmony her craft can bring her in times of darkness.

On the production, I Am Snow Angel explains, “‘Lost World’ is set in a semi-apocalyptic world where we are exposed to harsh elements – both physically (in nature) and emotionally, with only memories to distract us from reality. The electro-cinematic sparseness of the instrumental fits the stark dystopian landscape I envisioned. Like ’Twisted Romance’, I once again collaborated with Charles Newman and J.J. Appleton. I created the instrumental skeleton for this song with keys, bass, and drum programming. J.J. added the verby electric guitar riffs. Charles added more synths and brought in Butch Norton to play drums. Charles again mixed the track with Tom Rogers, putting an epic and cinematic finish to it.”
