DIOR PHOTOGRAPHY AND VISUAL ARTS AWARDS FOR YOUNG TALENTS

The house crown young French photographer Cédrine Scheidig as the winner of their Photography and Visual Arts Awards.

If there’s one thing for sure, it’s that right now, the future generation are currently one of the most looked at in the industry. With so many innovative and boundary-pushing talents on the rise, we’re looking for any reason to champion them and Dior understands this with their Photography and Visual Arts Awards For Young Talents. Entering its fourth year, the iconic house have just named their winner, and French photographer Cédrine Scheidig takes the prize.

Selected by Torbjørn Røland, Pixy Liao, Coco Capitan, Tyler Mitchell and Maja Hoffmann, the young rising star received a €10,000 grant from the house of Dior as well as creative commission, Her photos alongside the other 12 finalists will be shown at the Forges in the Parc Des Ateliers At Luma Arles this summer. Focusing on various cities and cultures for her work, the artist vibrantly brings an array of stories to life in her art, using a bold colour palette and otherworldly angles.

The young French photographer who trained at the National School of Photography in Arles uses her talent to explore her dual-cultural background and we’re curious to see how else she’ll tell her story in the future.
