First Knives Out 2 and now Outer Banks season two? Netflix are really spoiling us with the murder mysteries! Dropping its first teaser today, we are thrown back into the world of the Pogues and the Kooks, for what looks like another thrilling season. Picking up where season one left off, we see John B (Chase Stokes) and Sarah (Madelyn Cline) on the run in the Bahamas with their friends J.J. (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey) and Pope (Jonathan Daviss) believing them to be dead after a nasty storm. Meanwhile back on the Outer Banks, the rest of the group try to adjust to their new setting, but a newfound secret awaits them on the shores.

“Season two is going to test our crew like never before,” co-creators and executive producers Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke said in a statement. “We’ve turned up the dial on everything fans loved about Season one — more mystery, more romance and higher stakes. It’s a full-throttle, action-packed adventure, and this teaser offers a glimpse into the next chapter for our Pogues.”

In addition to the teaser, Netflix revealed that the coming-of-age drama will return to the streaming service on Friday, July 30. Whatever they have in store for us, we’re excited to be spending this summer with the Pogues.
