Riding the wave of her sultry break-out hit “Drowning in Paradise”, singer-songwriter Drue de Milo returns with a trap-tinged remix. Keeping the same sultry deep drums and dream-pop vocals, the singer speeds up the originally slow-moving track, with sweet-toned breaks and a thumping bassline. Leaving the delicate strings on the original, the singer breathes a different energy into the single for the remix, adding a more chilled laid-back vibe.

Opening up on the remix, Drue revealed, “I’ve always been inspired by superheroes, and the beach is a fantasy world anyway. For me, there’s a very thin line between fantasy and reality – I wanna make art that blurs it.”

Known to blend her love of surfing with an ultra-feminine touch, the former ballerina includes a range of her surfer friends for the video, enlisting the likes of Tyler Newton and Cam Richards for an ethereal setting that’ll have you wishing it was summer. With her resume full of performances at the illustrious Viper Room and Boom Boom Room, we are expecting the singer to return to the stage this year in her full glory.
