It’s the end of an era for the queen’s of reality TV.
When Kim broke the news that their additive and binge-worthy reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians would end next year, our hearts sank and suddenly it dawned on us that an era is coming to an end. No longer we will see the family go on stunning holidays and trips go witness them go through trials and tribulations.
The Kardashians will bring their 14-year reign of reality TV to an end next year after 21 seasons of iconic moments and memes. A statement released by the family said, “After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”
With the show coming to a close next year we thought we’d look back on some of the best moments from the binge-worthy tv show.
“Is that a chicken?”
No, Kylie, it’s a pig. But this iconic moment has lead to memes galore with various parodies. We hope Kylie finally got that chicken that she obviously wanted.
“Kim there are people dying”
It doesn’t get more iconic than this. When Kim lost her diamond earring in the sea in Thailand the world had ended – for her. Crying and searching the ocean, Kim was left devested, but it was Kylie to the rescue when she found the earring on the seafloor.
When Kourtney Kardashian taught us the alphabet.
It wouldn’t have been KUTWK if there wasn’t Scott and Kourtney drama. With their on and off-again relationship spanning 12 years, the two finally called it quits in 2015 after a rollercoaster romance. In this scene, the two reflect on co-parenting their three children while trying to work out their differences. But after not coming to a resolve, Kourtney proceeds to recite the alphabet in frustration – we might just try this.
Forget fetch, it’s all about BIBLE.
The Kardashian’s over the years have been held accountable for some of the most fashionable trends and styles. But there is one thing the family is underrated for and it’s their very own language. From catchphrases such as “BIBLE” and “Okurr”, the family have created their own slang that we will continue to use for years to come.
“Kim your sister is going to jail”
You know when you finally find good lighting and the selfie just looks right? That was Kim in this moment – but at the wrong time. Arrested for driving under the influence, Khloe was sent to jail for 30 days and three weeks of alcohol treatment. But on the way, Kris got increasingly frustrated and snapped at Kim for taking selfies during the car ride to the station. Years later, Kim went on to be dubbed “the selfie queen” – maybe she was practising.
The Bentley Fight
The sisters may argue from time to time on the show, but they rarely ever get physical with one another. Enter the infamous Bentley fight. After a long day at the dealership, tensions rise and Khloe and Kourtney leave Kim during an argument. Furious, Kim goes back to the hotel and confront the two, but not before hitting Khloe with her huge designer handbag. What did Kim have to say about it? “It’s what they deserved.”
When Kendall became the clap-back queen.
Kendall and Kylie in their younger years on the show was comedy gold. The duo provided us with light-hearted content in their early years and we are living for it. But it was as the duo got older the sass began to come through, between wearing make-up and smoking the duo’s rebellious phase was played out in the series. Particularly when Kris tried to teach Kendall the value of money and the younger quickly pipped in that it is made from paper and it does grow on trees – she didn’t lie.
