Our beloved R-Patz is said to have tested positive for the coronavirus whilst filming for Matt Reeves’ The Batman, according to Vanity Fair. The news comes just days after filming for the production resumed following the ease of lockdown measures here in the UK.

Pattinson plays an early iteration of the famed superhero in his second year of crime-fighting, trying to solve a trail of gory murders. The gruelling task will see him come face to face with some of the franchises most iconic villains, such as Zoë Kravitz’s Cat Woman, Paul Dano’s The Riddler and even The Penguin, played by Colin Farrell.

A spokesperson from Warner Bros. affirmed the news in a statement yesterday: “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.”

We can only imagine how many bouquets and Twilight-themed ‘Get well soon!’ cards are being hastily purchased on Moonpig right now, and are already putting together our own care package for the Tenet star. We love you Rob!
