It’s been a month now since announced, in an unprecedented move, it would be departing from the traditional fashion calendar, going season-less and doing fashion shows in a tour around the world – and today marks its much-anticipated debut in Shanghai.

So, what does Virgil Abloh have in store for us? Well, so far, we know the Men’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection, titled Message in a Bottle, will mainly focus on sustainability. The artistic director has revealed that the collection will be comprised of 30 looks crafted with new material, with the rest made up of recycled and repurposed material as well as looks carried over from the previous collection. Each of the recycled pieces will be emblazoned with the Upcycling Signal Logo – a new emblem of the brand.
