The Insta-cult brand are supporting emerging talent with their creative competition #SPFORHOPE.

It’s all too evident that we’re living in unprecedented and uncertain times – but one brand looking inject a dose of hope into the current situation is Insta-favourite label self-portrait.

For their new AW20 campaign, they have announced global creative competition #SPFORHOPE in order to support and platform young emerging talents – where winners will scoop a staggering £5000 each.

The theme of the competition is “hope”, and all mediums are encouraged, including photography and video – and the five winning pieces will be selected by a jury panel of industry experts led by Han Chong, the brand’s founder and Creative Director.

“I want to support and foster this thriving creative community where artistic expression refuses to be limited during these challenging times,” explains Chong. “Investing in the next generation of talent is fundamental. This collective spirit of hope and action has inspired me.”

The brief and documents are available to download on self-portrait-studio.com. Submissions need to be posted on Instagram by the deadline of Friday 7t​h​ of August.
