Since its inception, Apple Music’s Agenda with Beats by Dr. Dre has been the leading voice when it comes to thought-provoking and authentic conversations about music and trending topics within the industry. Spanning hip-hop, grime, R&B, Afrobeats and everything in between, influential movers and shakers have been descending upon the show to chat about what’s real – with the first two episodes including legends such as Ghetts, Dizzee Rascal, Ms Banks and more.

Now episode 3 is here, all about the ups and downs of being a woman in the music industry. Discussions on trolling, coming up in the scene, being a female boss and the gender pay disparity all get airtime, as Big Zuu chats with boundary-pushers Maya Jama, Tiffany Calver and Ray Blk.

In one part, Maya Jama talks about her experiences of living in the limelight: “I was in a long term relationship that was public, so that helped me out without getting moved on too or like people being inappropriate. But also at the same time I use mad just bro zone and family zone everybody so hard just so there was no hope of there even being anything twisted.”

Listen to Agenda with Ms Banks Tuesdays at 7pm on Apple Music’s Beats 1 live for free at apple.co/B1_Agenda or on-demand with an Apple Music subscription.
