We have absolutely no choice but to stan very loudly. As Charli XCX has gone where no artist has gone yet: she has dropped her first music video in quarantine – and it is a trippy, but heartwarming leap down the rabbit hole of her community of super fans.

It wasn’t long ago that the pop provocateur dropped the news that she would be making and releasing a whole album during the current ongoing lockdown, aptly titled how i’m feeling now. And the first track “forever” is the perfect antidote to all the uncertainty outside our four walls right now. Hopeful and romantic, it courses with agitated guitar riffs, glowing synths and playful pixelated vocals.

And the DIY homemade visuals see 5,000 fan clips stitched together: tours of their isolation hubs, insights into their lives, as well as some dancing (of course) and singing along. We also see the barefaced queen giving us a cheeky grin at the end.
