Gucci. Nick Cave. Copenhagen. Yes, this is real life. All of your favourite things have now compounded into one ethereal being, with Gucci sponsoring a brand new exhibition dedicated to the musician, set to open in Copenhagen in 2020.

Named Stranger Than Kindness, the exhibition at CPH gallery, The Black Diamond, will be a deep-dive into the creative world of the icon, from his early brief days in post-punk band The Birthday Party, to the iconic Bad Seeds.

Spanning more than 50 years of Cave’s life, think large scale installations and atmospheric soundscapes, plus more than 300 objects from Cave’s own collection, the Nick Cave archive at Arts Centre Melbourne and the collections of Royal Danish Library.

Expect original artwork, handwritten lyrics, literature, photography, videos, set designs, and collected personal artefacts. Also expect tears, because, well, Nick Cave.

Stranger Than Kindness: The Nick Cave Exhibition will be shown at The Black Diamond – Royal Danish Library, 23 March – 3 October 2020. Find out more at nickcave.com
