She’s arrived: last night, Ariana Grande began her Sweetener World Tour at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York.
After much speculation about which songs would make the cut (it’s not every day an artist drops two full-length, highly successful albums within six months), Ariana came through with a mammoth 30-song setlist that spanned her entire career. She performed the majority of songs from both thank u, next and Sweetener, as well as a selection of throwback tracks including “Side To Side”, “Into You”, “One Last Time” and 2014’s “Break Your Heart Right Back”. There was even a cover of Frank Ocean’s “Close To You” thrown in there too.
Fans have also gone wild over the outfit changes, which included several variations of an Ariana classic: a crop top, mini skirt and oversized thigh high boots, which she wore in tangerine, baby pink, plaid and PVC.
