Take a look at the iconic designer’s latest collaboration with Burberry.
Since Ricardo Tisci’s debut collection at the helm of Burberry – 135 looks ranging from traditional to streetwear – everyone has been excited to see where the Italian designer will take the brand next.
Today, we found out: Tisci announced today via press release that Burberry would be joining forces with iconic British designer, Vivienne Westwood, for a capsule collection re-working pieces from Westwood’s archive with Burberry’s signature nova check.
“Vivienne Westwood was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer myself, and when I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to approach her to do something,” Said Tisci. “She is a rebel, a punk and unrivalled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us. I am so incredibly proud of what we will be creating together.”
This is the first extensive look we have been given of the collection, and with a campaign shot by David Sims and starring Kate Moss, this really is a collaboration between a host of icons.
The collaboration will support Cool Earth, a UK based charity that works alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation and stop climate change. Indeed, one of the collection’s pieces is adorned with a message, handwritten by Westwood and dedicated to the charity.
