The glittering presence of the Eiffel Tower is nothing new when it comes to Paris Fashion Week backdrops. But for Saint Laurent’s SS19 offering, the Trocadero received a glitzy makeover complete with an infinity pool catwalk and stretches of warm weather palm trees on either side.

Models stomped on down in snakeskin cowboy boots and metallic platforms, black reflections giving the epic appearance of walking on water.

And eveningwear was swapped out for something equally high-glamour: swimsuits. Yes, you heard right. But of course, not your regular lido editions. Think 80s asymmetric, high-leg and cut-out – and in sultry leopard print and sequin variations. Sexy, sexy, sexy.
