Who hasn’t dreamt of winning the lottery? Yeah, we all have, and the dynamic duo behind Blood Brother – Nick Biela and James Waller – clearly have too. With a huge lottery draw adorning the back of the runway for their AW18 show, the collection took a look at the “Instant Win” aspect often promised by The National Lottery. Taking their phrase “It Could Be You” as the title of the show too, the pair decided to look at the “dark side” of the lottery winners… But make it fashion.

Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous

Drawing influence from the OTT lifestyles of the mega-mega-rich (think helipads, MTV’s Cribs and when Kim lost her diamond earring in the ocean), the line-up was full of iconically luxurious and over-indulgent motifs. There were references to 80s ski-wear, exotic animals, gangsters, Vegas, and basically everything you would associate with winning the lottery. So if you’re ever lucky enough to win, you know where to find your victory outfit…

Getting Graphic

Some of our fave pieces from the show were the ones with graphic prints. A “key feature” of the Blood Brother style, we saw various garments sporting scratch cards and receipts, as well as slogans including “Hot Tub Club” and “Money Bags” making certain pieces pop. A total feast for the eyes, the guys definitely hit the jackpot with this one…
