Returning with her first new music since 2015’s debut solo single “Stillbirth”, former Crystal Castles frontwoman Alice Glass is back with a banger. “Without Love” is a documentation of dark times soundtracked by a synth pop sizzler and Alice’s breathy and hypnotising vocals.

Indie-rock quartet have made our job easy with the title of their newest track, “Solid Gold”, acting as the song’s perfect description. Speaking on the track, Max says, “Lyrically I was exploring the feelings you have in the embryonic stages of a relationship, feeling close to someone but also distant at the same time, and that urge to push things forward”.

Dropping the visuals last week, “Don’t Delete The Kisses” is a PDA-packed beauty from the North London four piece. As singer Ellie Rowsell said, “I kind of wanted to make one of those head out the window on a long drive tunes. And I wanted to try my hand at like a hold-nothing-back love song. That was my thoughts. But other than that I just kinda let it go where it wanted to go… I just think if you hold back it will sound worse won’t it?”.

Following up their debut track “Social Experiment”, London trio Dead Pretties have released their newest single “Confidence”. Hailed as one of the most exciting bands around and a group who are saving London’s guitar scene, “Confidence” is yet more proof of their greatness as frontman Jacob Slater reflects on the western media who “choose the easy path of reporting on bum implants and racists when they know they have the power to shift the focus of the public eye.”

Back with another luxurious R&B belter, Saya returns with “On Ice”. Featuring London rapper Knucks, the track highlights her smooth and silky vocals and is an exciting glimpse of what the newcomer has in store.

Argentinian born Malena Zavala is set to take the world by storm. With her latest dreamy track, “Should I Try” infuses psychedelic sounds to create a track that will stay in your mind for days. “‘Should I Try’ is a song about fearing the future, and the anxiety that comes with potentially setting yourself up for failure, but then realising that you need to relax.” Malena says, “It’s not that bad, things will work out.”

Atmospheric and amazing, London based trio Daughter have dropped “Burn It Down” and it’s incredible. Taken from their 13 song soundtrack album for the prequel to the BAFTA award winning Life Is Strange video game, their stunning song is certain to wow those playing Life Is Strange: Before The Storm. Speaking on their involvement in the project, Elena Tonra says, “We loved the story on first read as it centres around realistic female lead characters who are emotional, intelligent, sensitive and badass in equal measure.”

Joining the race for our fave collab of the year, underground West Coast hip-hop/funk trailblazer Declaime has united with soul sensation Aloe Blacc on new track “Violet Sky”. An instantly catchy song fusing jazz and psychedelic sounds, it’s gonna get you dancing as soon as you hear it.

Brighton indie rockers, White Room, are spoiling us with the release of their new double A-side “The Blue/Tomorrow Always Knew”. Taken from their forthcoming EP “Eight”, the tracks are an exciting taste of what joys the record will bring.
