Blood Brother were inspired by London’s lifeblood.
Icons Of London
Paving the way for the new generation of London-based designers, Blood Brother looked to iconic London buildings and, most importantly, the River Thames. Looking at the abstract inspirations that the river has given London, Blood Brother asked “Why does The River Thames seem to reflect London and it’s heritage so well?” As a place where people come to discover and source things they need, Blood Brother used the Thames as both figurative and literal inspiration for AW17.
Mastering prints for AW17, Blood Brother reference the cartography and mapping of the River Thames. Brought to life using detailed embroidery on the tailored pieces, silks and sweats, Blood Brother highlight the role of the river as London’s lifeblood, bringing people to it’s banks for thousands of years.
Strong and sublime, Blood Brother’s silhouettes and shapes were modern tailoring classics. Jumbo cords, strapping and pocket details added contemporary stylistic features, while the oversized coats and bombers (Blood Brother’s much-loved staples) made sure that the AW17 collection will be remembered as a classic Blood Brother collection.
