PREMIERE: STAR SLINGER – “WE COULD BE MORE”

Star Slinger’s “We Could Be More” EP lines him up for great things.

Making his long-anticipated return with his EP “We Could Be More”, DJ and producer Star Slinger has made the leap into more the traditional songwriting format and away from the heavier beats and club-focused tracks that he previously made his name with. Proving that he’s a master of all trades, Darren Williams’s debut release with OWSLA (featuring vocal collaborations from D∆WN, Tungi Ige, Sam Sparro, James Vincent McMorrow and Sara Z) moves between a variety of sounds, marking Williams as a musician whose talents are unparalleled.

From the delicacy in “Slow Love”, which has a twinkling pop melody, steady percussion and a swaying groove, to “If It Shall”, where ancient blues and gospel sounds (found on one of his digging journeys through Central Europe) reign king, “We Could Be More” is an EP that masters the art of the relatable song.
