Fronted by South London-Ghanaian Osei Amponsa, Mickey Lightfoot are the band to have on your radar for 2017.

Premiering on Wonderland, Mickey Lightfoot’s (aka our new obsession) latest video “OH YES” is taken off the artist’s “Wearing The Rent” EP, which saw exec-production credits from Kanye collaborator, the formidable Acyde. In his latest offering, Amponsa navigates an urban setting after having stripped off on film. With random explosions of colour and striking visuals, Amponsa establishes himself as a creative genius, and definitely one to watch.

His next project, “Needy Bruises” sees him team-up with Central St Martins graduate and fashion designer Olubiyi, where they will infuse technology with apparel in the form of a unique sci-fi sweater, which serves up serious “Back To The Future” vibes – it’s basically everything we’ve ever dreamed of. The sleeve of said sweater will contain a chip that links up to the users phone and gives them access to an exclusive uber-futuristic supporter portal. The portal will contain a long play for the Needy Bruises music project – major!

Before the year is out, the multi-talented creative will release a new 7-track mixtape for Christmas, so there’s no denying that the multi-talented artist has one hell of a year lined up. Watch this space.
