Ama Lou – “TBC”

It’s time you got to know Ama Lou. The 18 year old singer/songwriter has just dropped her debut single “TBC” and it’s a beauty. Built around an addictive hook and driving bassline, “TBC” powerfully addresses current affairs and activism.

Little Mix – “Shout Out To My Ex”

Pop behemoth and absurdly good chroniclers of break-ups, Little Mix has returned with new single “Shout Out To My Ex”. Less a subtweet, more a rallying cry for single people everywhere.

Yellow Days – “Your Hand Holding Mine”

Yellow Days, aka George Van De Broek, is the latest signing to London based label Good Years (Francis and the Lights, BANKS, Lil Silva). Aged 17, he’s demonstrating a remarkable songcraft with a brooding sound and powerfully articulated lyrics. Yellow Days is a young artist who is already well on the way to great things.

Clarence Clarity – “Same” EP

Clarence Clarity unleashes his unique brand of dystopian funk on new EP “Same”. Comprised of five tracks that sound ostensibly the same, the EP is the follow-up to his debut album No Now. An aggressive jolt of synthetic energy, “Same” is an unrelenting audio treat. “Same” is released via Dummy Records.

Dessert – “Back Around”

“Back Around” is the wistful new single from LA trio Dessert. With shoegazing vibes, “Back Around” has a sparkling indie-pop sheen. Dessert recently shared the Alex Lill (Mac Demarco, Joey Badass) directed video for tracks “Devil / Back Around”. The band’s forthcoming EP drops on 4 November.

Au/Ra – “Concrete Jungle”

Ibiza-born, Antigua-raised singer Au/Ra has shared her stunning debut track “Concrete Jungle”. Au/Ra roots her surrealist lyrics in a solid, minimalist bass-heavy production to create this enrapturing pop sound. Au/Ra says: “Concrete Jungle was inspired by taking trips to big cities when I come from an island. It’s about human nature, how we’re all connected”.

felicita – “a new family”

PC Music’s felicita has unveiled the Matt Copson directed visuals for “a new family”, the title track from his forthcoming EP. felicita says of the EP: “during the making of this ep, I spent hours and hours in the studio.by the end of each day my lips would turn a light blue. I lived on dried seaweed, learnt to play the piano, fell deeper into total pop abstraction.”

George Maple – “Lover”

Everyone’s favourite pop auteur George Maple has shared the visuals for “Lover”. With her typically sensuous production, Maple’s beguiling vocals slither along with the track. The video was directed by fashion photographer Darren McDonald and stars supermodel Jordan Barrett. Maple had this to say about the track: “I wanted to capture the beauty in the primal obsession of love. Messy love. Destructive love. The dopamine effect. The power of loss or struggle and what it drives humans to do…”

Baauer – “Paauer”

“Paauer” is the unruly new single from Baauer, aka Harry Rodrigues. Packed with elements of jungle, grime and trap, as well as samples of bird call and sirens, “Paauer” is a freewheeling banger that reverberates from the first beat.

Stranger Stranger – “Nation”

“Nation” is the genre-bending new cut from Stranger Stranger. Written by the duo and produced by Steve Brown (Laura Mvula), “Nation” is a showcase for the duo’s transcendent harmonies and talent for bringing together disparate influences. The band says of the track: “Like all our songs, “Nation” is ambiguous. It’s not about any one thing; it depends on who’s hearing it and what’s going on with them while they listen.”

Alex Clare – “Gotta Get Up”

The second offering from Alex Clare’s forthcoming album Tail Of Lions is as captivating as it’s predecessor. We’re counting down the weeks until the full record drops on November 11th.
