BTS with Becky Hill

We snuck behind the scenes with the dance vocalist who’s going pop, Becky Hill.

3 million Soundcloud plays, a number one single and a slew of achingly cool pop-collaborations (Rudimental, Wilkinson and MK to name a few), slots played at Glastonbury, Wireless and Lovebox, well, I mean, you get the idea, and now Becky Hill has released her brand new track and we love it.

“Back To My Love” shows Becky teaming up with Little Simz and producer Noah Breakfast (who’s worked with the likes of Rollacoaster cover star Ellie Goulding, Wonderland babes, Wet and Ty Dollar $ign) and is set to project Becky on to huge things. The electro-pop tune has a few R&B influences but it’s Becky’s killer vocals which make it the banger it is (you may recognise her voice from Wilkinson’s “Afterglow” or Oliver Helden’s “Gecko (Overdrive)”. Plus who doesn’t love a collab? Little Simz blazes in for 16 bars to top it all off.

“For me, the track is important because it represents my early twenties and that feeling of being lost but knowing you’re going somewhere,” Becky explained of the track. “It’s almost reassuring and I’m glad I managed to put that into a song. It’s a great reminder in self-doubt.”

She’s cemented herself on the dance scene but with “Back To My Love”, it’s fair to say Becky is well on her to way earning her pop-stripes too. If this tune is anything to go by, she’ll be a staple on our summer-playlist and we can’t wait to see what’s next. While we’re waiting, we sneak a peek at a day in life of Becky via everyone’s favourite throwback format, a Polaroid diary.
