PREMIERE: FEVER DREAM – “DANCE FOREVER”

Moody London threesome Fever Dream enlist all their musical mates to take over in the video for shoegaze track, “Dance Forever”.

Fever Dream are the London three-piece making music that defies genre (part shoegaze, part slowcore and part post-punk). They all met at university in Brighton – “there’s nowhere to hide in a three piece; as we’re such good friends we’re not afraid to say when we don’t like something that someone else is playing” – and dropped their debut album, Moya Moya, earlier this year to much furore. It was a deliciously woozy album seething with a distantly captured fury and was full of vibes that were just the right side of Sonic Youth.

“Dance Forever” was a standout track from the record, so we’re pleased to be able to exclusively premiere the band’s Gaspar Noé inspired video for the song. It’s a howling, gloriously distorted number that features a handful of Fever Dream’s talented mates, including members of fellow indie bands like Flowers, The Fireworks and Mammoth Penguins. If you’re feeling a little queasy this morning after an ill-advised Monday pub session, then possibly leave watching this till later as the vid is one big colour-a-minute kaleidoscope of retro angst: what could be better?
