PREMIERE: JMSN – “ADDICTED”

LA based Kendrick Lamar collaborator JMSN premieres his 90s-tastic video for the track “Addicted” with us.

“I had to make this song like a trip in the mind of an addict. I liked to make make it a mirror of my own mind which is sporadic, spacey and has a lot going on but constantly bases around one thing. It’s like a big commercial in my brain for my addiction constantly playing. With music, dancing, flying and bright colors. I wanna get sucked in again and again.” If you say so JMSN. Otherwise known as Christian Berishaj, Detroit born, LA-based JMSN is carving a path for himself with the release of “Addicted”. Having previously collaborated with Kendrick Lamar (he appears on “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe”), Kaytranada and J Cole, Christian has a huge online presence and fanbase, we’re told even Usher is a fan.

Like it was ready made for the early days of MTW, “Addicted”, taken from JMSN (Blue Album) is a rainbow coloured, fuzzy lo-res dream with neon animations and even a troupe of backing dancers dressed in all white. There’s a lot of strange imagery going on, the weirdest probably being what looks like convulsing worms, just go with it, ok. Lose yourself in a trance, you couldn’t have a better soundtrack.
