PFW: Chalayan AW15

Deconstructed fur coats, utilitarian leather dungarees and evening dresses: we can’t decide what we want most from Chalayan AW15.

That Night

With a collection name that read “That Night” we were presented with a series of deconstructed fur coats, nude tones and mountain-scape prints, to an atmospheric soundtrack that conjured thoughts of a night walk through unknown territory. With a predominantly black and neutral palette, heavy print work and splashes of red, this collection was cultivated for the minimalist wanting to take a walk on the wild side.

Working Girl

With oversized boiler suits and baggy leather dungarees all in the mix, utilitarian values were at the core of AW15. The working girl had plenty to choose from; from baggy trousers worn low with leather panels teamed with slip on clogs, to cape style outerwear worn longline and loose.

Deconstructed Elegance

With a series of evening-ready dresses all making an appearance, Chalayan have covered all bases for AW15. Think glittering dresses complete with pleated sash structures hung loosely on top. Meanwhile strapless structured dresses came with pleated skirts, slashed in half and refastened with metal hooks. Best worn with a Chalayan deconstructed fur coat, of course.
