LFW: Paul Smith AW15

For AW15 the Paul Smith girl is juxtaposing femininity and masculinity to rave review.

Male vs Female

Clean cut masculine tailoring steals the show at Paul Smith, but feminine charm was still in tact. Whilst jackets are stiff and woollen and trousers wide, shirt dresses come in subtle dusky pink silks and boxy shearling outerwear comes in a covetable shade of mustard yellow. When AW15 rolls in we’ll say farewell to the skinny leg and hello to oversized layers – if that doesn’t sound appealing, then we don’t know what does.

Muted Palette

In contrast to Paul Smith’s strong colour choices in the past, the AW15 palette is predominately muted. Think dusty pinks, soft khakis and shades of charcoal, a sophisticated combination for the winter layering we all crave. However it wouldn’t be Paul Smith without an accent hue, and the mustard is testament to this.

Attention a To Detail

The finishing touches are a feast for any minimalist Instagram whizz-kid. Simple, delicate gold jewellery – inspired by the geometry – features throughout and enamel buttons on oversized envelope pockets bring a sense of formal functionality.
