MFW: JOHN VARVATOS AW15

Earthy tones, textural qualities and the most stylish of guitar cases – we take a look at John Varvatos AW15.Screen Shot 2015-01-19 at 12.51.26

The floor buried beneath leaves at the John Varvastos AW15 show mirrored the earthy, autumnal tones throughout the collection. In true John Varvatos style, well-defined suits create strong silhouettes, that clashed (in the best possible way) with leather trousers and jackets, giving suiting a desirable informal edge.

Trousers were cut shorter than usual, no doubt to show off those leather Varvatos boots we all know and love, whilst some shoes came in prints complimentary to those featured on jackets. This youthful biker vibe played loud throughout the collection, but of course there was something for everyone. Those looking for something more sophisticated could opt to layer cashmere knits under a camel coat or that fur and leather number.

With the sound of Bob Dyan soundtracking the collection, it was clear the icon was one of Varvatos’ references this season; and whilst men carried textured guitar cases down the catwalk – this was another music driven collection, a trademark of the brand. This collection is for the youthful yet stylish man, who wants to spice up comfort with a rough edge. We’d like all men dressed in Varvatos, please.
