For SS15 the Jimmy Choo man takes a journey out of his comfort zone. His native Mayfair is traded for an urban adventure, the Jimmy Choo man is exhilarated by the prospect of broadening his cultural horizons. Exploring an undiscovered urban habitat by foot, connecting both his metaphysical soul and literal sole with the pavement, each step takes him on a journey of discovery, with hidden treasures that lie waiting to be discovered and experienced.

So capturing a never-before explored facet of the city dweller, Jimmy Choo set out to develop the contemporary gentleman’s classics, giving them a surprising twist. Further embracing the Jimmy Choo signature style that fuses technical design elements with artisanal, hand-made touches, the SS15 collection concentrates on simple yet sophisticated silhouettes that, on closer inspection, incorporate surprising details calling upon innovative design technology and traditional craftsmanship to work in harmony.

Exploring the fabric of today’s urban uniform denim, the medium features heavily in the collection presenting a new modern aesthetic for the brand, one that is in perfect synch with their current audience. Technology also plays with craftsmanship throughout the collection, with hand-finished luxury leathers fusing with rubberized soles and sporty design details. For us, it was all about the J BOOT – is a hybrid combat-style trainer boot that conveys a blend of traditional tailored sportswear with contemporary, artisanal craftsmanship. Alongside the J BOOT the BELGRAVIA high top makes an urban statement this season in a myriad of interpretations from attention grabbing gold patent to airbrushed sunset and aqua mix.

The intricate tailored touches typical of the Jimmy Choo brand were still prevalent throughout this modern reinterpretation.
