What?

This season Marques’Almeida took us back to the early 00’s as models walked to their nostalgic mix of All Saints and Basement Jaxx, our faves. The collection started in true Millenium style with a double denim extravaganza.  Jeans were super low rise with waistbands cut and fraying from the seam, tube tops were knotted at the back and shoulders, and skirts were worn over jeans reminiscent of the ‘skouser’ faze. Devon Aoki was used as a reference point which comes through in nods to Japanese heritage – Mandarin jackets, asymmetric shapes and kimono style tops were seen throughout.
